POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a talented Supervisor/Manager of Materials Management to be part of our growing team. The Materials Supervisor/Manager will have primary responsibility for procurement, inventory, and control of materials for both lab and cGMP production. This position will report initially to the VP of Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing and maintaining cGMP compliant inventory systems. The candidate will have a team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills. Experience implementing electronic material control systems a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Authoring of SOPs to support Material program.
• Responsible for the ordering, receipt, and inspection of raw materials and components in support of lab and cGMP Manufacturing operations.
• Working with contracted storage vendors to ensure timely transfer of materials.
• Setting up and maintaining cGMP materials inventory system.
• Partnering with PD, MFG, QA and QC/AD groups to ensure materials are available on time and in full.
• Proactively escalating issues in need of resolution.
• Monitoring temperature conditions of refrigerators, freezers, and ambient temperature storage of cGMP materials.
• Initiating and monitoring shipments of product/materials to external CMO’s.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of relevant materials management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Practical expertise with cGMP manufacturing and regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals and/or devices.
• Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description.
• Ability to function efficiently and independently in a changing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work in a GMP manufacturing environment – Biologics and Combination Device manufacturing.
• Ability to work in a laboratory with chemicals and biochemicals and perform Biosafety Level 2 work.
• Ability to lift move up to 35 lbs.

POSITION LOCATION:

• Maryland/DC Beltway: 100% of the time will be required to be in Maryland at the Theradaptive Laboratories
